St Hilda’s Carers’ Project provides short and flexible respite breaks to carers within the Bangladeshi and other Asian communities in Tower Hamlets.
It carries out assessments of carers’ respite needs and offers opportunities for breaks, including Day Centre and domiciliary care ‘placements’ for the person being cared for.
Carers also have access to advice, information and signposting to other services – in addition to a Carers’ Support Group called ‘Fursoth’ (‘Take Rest’ in Bengali).
