About us

The Tower Hamlets Community Catalogue is written and maintained by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.  The community catalogue has been developed as a result of joint work between the council and local voluntary, community and social care provider organisations in the area.  Anyone can access this information directly, or if you have a social worker or support worker he or she may be able to assist you.

The Tower Hamlets Community Catalogue is a directory of services which have demonstrated they meet our quality standards.  People with cash personal budgets, and self-funders, may create an account and purchase services which are suitable for them.

Services are aimed at the older adult population of Tower Hamlets, people with living with disabilities of whatever kind and those who care for people within the borough.

Our goal is to assist residents to feel in control of their own lives and the choices available to them.  We've tried to make this website easy to use by providing simple navigation, an uncluttered feel, and by using understandable language that people themselves use.

The website is also for the use of professionals, health and care services, and anybody with an interest in adult social care issues.

If you think you or someone you know may need social care services, you can contact our Social Care Contact Centre on 020 7364 5005, visit http://www.towerhamlets.gov.uk/lgnl/health_and_social_care/help_for_adults.aspx, or email adultcare@towerhamlets.gov.uk.

Tell us what you think! You can feed back to us by emailing us at community.catalogue@towerhamlets.gov.uk
